Highlights from the 2010 Trustworthy and True: Christian Authors on Tour!

Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT)

Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT) is a project of TAKE ACTION! Publishing and is committed to introducing readers to Christian fiction and non-fiction books that (1) lead people to the Word of God (The Holy Bible); (2) help people build their relationship with Christ; and (3) inspire others to use writing as a tool for Christian ministry.

Launched in 2OO8 as the Voices of Thanksgiving: Christian Authors on Tour, CAOT started with a small group of Christian fiction and non-fiction authors from the MD, DC, VA and DE region. In 2O1O, CAOT relaunched as the Trustworthy and True: Christian Authors on Tour and included Christian fiction and non-fiction authors from all over the country.

What's Next for Christian Authors on Tour?

Since 2OO8, Christian Authors on Tour has provided a venue for Christian fiction and non-fiction authors to use their writing as a tool for Christian ministry. Our journey started two years ago and will end this December!

In 2O11, Christian Authors on Tour will embark on a planing year to prepare for a 2O12 relaunch of a smaller, more structured tour of Christian fiction and non-fiction authors. I am asking everyone for intercessory prayer. I am also seeking individuals [non-authors and authors, alike] who are interested in serving on the planning team. The planning team will be responsible for standing in the gap for the 2O12 Tour, raising funds, budgeting, recruiting a smaller, more focused group of Tour participants and soliciting corporate sponsors.

This is a serious commitment that will begin January 2O11 and end August 31, 2O12. You will will be expected to participate in monthly conference calls, read and respond to regular email exchanges, and attend [at your own expense] at least two face-to-face quarterly planning meetings.

If you are interested in joining the 2O11 planning committee, please email lpinder@thetakeactionnetwork.com your resume and a two - three paragraph statement explaining the following:

[1] your reason for joining the planning team;
[2] your explanation regarding the impact of writing as a tool for Christian ministry; and
[3] your description of the competencies you have that will enhance the impact of the 2O12 Tour.

Deadline to submit your information for the 2O12 Planning Committee is January 15, 2O1O!

NOTE:
If you are an author, your participation on the 2O11 planning team does not automatically guarantee your participation in the 2O12 Tour.

2010 Trustworthy and True: Christian Authors on Tour last stop is December 4th!

TAKE ACTION! Publishing is no longer accepting author submissions for the 2010 Trustworthy and True: Christian Authors on Tour.

In 2011, Christian Authors on Tour is taking a hiatus. However, it will launch a new networking group in 2011 for Christian authors in the United States who want to connect online with other Christian authors and share their writing ministry experiences.
